Accessibility Statement

Last updated: March 2026

Our Commitment

Polly Gasston Goldsmith is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards wherever possible. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website.

What We're Doing

We aim to make this website as accessible as possible. In particular:

  • You can change colours, contrast levels and fonts using browser or device settings.
  • You can zoom in up to 400% without the text spilling off the screen.
  • You can navigate most of the website using just a keyboard.
  • Images include descriptive alternative text where relevant.
  • Page headings and landmark regions are used to aid navigation with screen readers.
  • Links have descriptive text where possible.
  • The site is built with semantic HTML to support assistive technologies.

Conformance Status

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. We are in the process of reviewing our website against these guidelines and making improvements where needed.

We recognise that some areas of the site may not yet fully meet these standards, particularly in relation to third-party content and some interactive features. We are committed to making ongoing improvements.

Known Limitations

We are aware of the following areas where accessibility may be limited:

  • Some older product images may lack detailed alt text — we are working to address this.
  • Embedded third-party services (such as the Stripe payment form) are outside our direct control and are governed by their own accessibility policies.

Technical Information

This website is built using modern web standards including HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript. We use ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) attributes where needed to enhance accessibility for screen reader users. The site has been tested for keyboard navigation and basic screen reader compatibility.

The site is designed to work with the following assistive technologies:

  • Screen readers including NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver
  • Keyboard-only navigation
  • Browser zoom and text resize
  • High contrast mode
